Rice is the staple food crop for the world’s population, and it is also the most important food crop in China and most Asian countries. Rice crops have different growth conditions in different parts of the country. The author selects the yuan yang terraced fields in Yunnan province in southwest china( which have been included in the world cultural heritage list) as the background to present the most traditional rice cultivation and processing methods in China. In the special farming culture of the nation in modern society where mechanization is gradually replacing manual labour, it is necessary for people to understand our past and guide our future development. At the same time, I hope that more children in the city can understand the hard-earned food in front of them, and can cherish the hard work of farmers.
