郭守敬：修订授时历

Do you know who revised the "Shushi Calendar"? Hundreds of years ago when there was no electronic calendar, how did people know which day was which? Guo Shoujing, the editor of the "Shushi Calendar", was a famous astronomer, mathematician, and hydraulic engineer in the Yuan Dynasty. He personally traveled to 27 counties across the country and set up observatories just to revise the outdated calendar. Not only did he calibrate the timekeeping watches around people, but he also calibrated the watches for the change of solar terms in people's hearts. Every child can become an inventor, understand Chinese creation, and condense Chinese wisdom. We selected 10 famous inventors in ancient China (Cai Lun, Bi Sheng, Du Shi, Huang Dao Po, etc.), 10 technical directions in different industries and disciplines (papermaking, printing, smelting, textiles, etc.), through detailed technical invention scenes, combined with character invention stories, background knowledge of the times, mechanical production steps, and interesting knowledge, highlighting the exquisite skills and wonderful ideas of ancient inventors, and inspiring young readers' interest in natural materials, handcrafts or scientific civilization and scientific creation.
