Puppet Show & Storytelling 布偶故事会【灯节舞龙 Dragon Dance】

Join us for a fun-filled 90-minute session featuring a lively storytelling performance with hand puppets about the brave Dragon Maiden who defied the Jade Emperor to help villagers during a drought—audience participation included! After the tale, children will enjoy a hands-on dragon paper puppet craft, bringing the story to life through creativity and play.

Do you know where the dragon dance comes from?

Long ago, farmers were celebrating a big harvest. But they forgot to thank the heavens for the good weather. The Jade Emperor was angry and told the Dragon King not to let it rain for three years!

A kind Dragon Maiden felt sorry for the people and secretly helped them. When the Jade Emperor found out, he sent soldiers to catch her. The villagers wanted to help her in return—can they save her?

"The Lantern Festival Dragon Dance" is a fun and interactive show with storytelling, music, dance, and handmade puppets. It brings a traditional Chinese legend to life and helps children learn more about Chinese culture.

🧚 Storytelling Session – 45 minutes
Join us for an engaging storytelling session where the performer will use hand puppets to tell the tale of the Dragon King's daughter—the Dragon Maiden. Discover how she secretly defied the Jade Emperor's orders to help the villagers during a terrible drought. When heavenly soldiers arrive to capture her, the villagers—and the children in the audience—will work together to try and save her.
Will the Dragon Maiden escape this danger?

🎨 Dragon Puppet Craft – 45 minutes
After the story, children will get hands-on and create their very own dragon paper puppet to take home. A fun and creative activity that brings the story to life!

很久很久以前，在一个农村里，农夫们欢庆他们用血汗换来的大丰收，却忘了答谢老天爷赐予风调雨顺的好年头。恼怒的玉皇大帝因此命令龙王三年内都不准降一滴雨到人间！善良的龙女不忍心看到百姓受苦，偷偷伸出援手。玉帝知情后大怒，派遣天兵天将下凡捉拿她。老百姓为了报恩，想尽办法解救她。龙女能否逃过这一劫？

《灯节舞龙》将以互动方式，配上生动有趣的戏剧表演，舞蹈、音乐以及特制的手工戏偶，让小朋友欣赏多姿多彩的民间神话故事，加深对华族传统文化的了解。

 

故事会内容
演员将通过手中的布袋偶给观众讲述龙王的女儿——龙女，如何偷偷违背玉皇大帝的旨意，帮助百姓们解决干旱之苦。在龙女被天兵抓捕后，百姓们将与小朋友们一起努力解救她。龙女是否能逃过这一劫呢？

故事结束后，小朋友们将亲手制作属于自己的舞龙纸偶，把故事带回家！这是一个寓教于乐、发挥创意的手工活动。
