Step into a Lunar New Year tale where legends come alive—and even a mischievous character can learn to change. 🌸🐎
In this special festive workshop, children will first enjoy an interactive Mandarin storytelling session inspired by the ancient legend of red packets (红包 / 压岁钱). Legend tells of a time when the Eight Immortals transformed themselves into eight shining coins to help an elderly couple protect their son from the demon Sui.
But in this reimagined story, Sui is no longer frightening.
One New Year’s Eve, Olive wakes to find Sui sitting by her bedside—curious, playful, and eager to join in the festive preparations. Together, they prepare for the New Year… until Sui’s mischief goes a little too far and Grandma’s beloved cherry blossoms are accidentally ruined. With morning fast approaching, Olive must help Sui make things right.
Will they save the New Year in time?

Hands-On Activity: ‘Sui’ Character Macaron Decorating

After the storytelling, children will take part in a Sui Character Macaron Decorating activity, where they create and decorate their very own sweet version of Sui.
This hands-on session gently nurtures:

• Focus and patience
• Fine motor skills
• Creativity and confidence

Children will experience the joy of bringing a story character to life through their own mindful making.
